The Oxford United Elite Development Centre is an invitation only environment that is open to players from 6-16.

The aim of the Oxford Utd Elite Development Centre is to recruit the most talented players within the area who are not currently at any Centres of Excellence through our extensive scouting network and our Youth & Community soccer schools program.

The objective of the program is to improve the technical ability of promising young local players through regular coaching and matches against other development centres (matches to be played midweek out of term time)

This will enable them to play and train at a higher level with other players of above average ability and play and train with their local grassroots team at the same time.

Our Coaches are all qualified to a minimum of FA Level 2 with most being Level 3 or above. The coach to player ratio is around 8 to 1 and specialist Goalkeeper coaching is included.Enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication are essential qualities for the Elite Development Centre player who wishes to progress to the next level and players will be expected to demonstrate these on a continuous basis. Players that progress on this program will be recommended for trials with our Centre of Excellence.

For the 2012/13 season we are offering an annual program that will run from September 2012 through to the end ofJuly 2013.

The program will consist of 36 coaching sessions at either Oxford Hawks Hockey Club, Banbury Road North, Oxford OX2 8EQ or Horspath Athletics & Sports Ground, Oxford Rd, Horspath, Cowley, OX4 2RL and 5 coaching/match half term and holiday weeks. We will be running 8 age groups U7s to U15/16s. Once invited onto this annual programme you will be guaranteed a place for the duration of the course.

We will then contact you with a date for you to come and train with us (free of charge) for a couple of sessions to see whether you would like to take up a place and for us to assess if you are suitable for this level of coaching and matches.
